About Us

Angus Embroidery and Textile Artists is a lively successor to Arbroath Embroiderer's Guild. Our aims are to promote and enjoy all forms of textile art and stitchery in our lovely county.

We meet twice monthly in the light and spacious village hall at Guthrie, where there is plenty of parking on site.  Meetings are held on Wednesday afternoons at 2.00.  The meetings alternate a talk or demonstration by an outside speaker, and an informal 'Stitch and Chat', where members can work on their own projects over tea and biscuits and get to know each other better.

We also have around six day schools a year which run from 10.00 til 4.00, and which cover a wide diversity of subjects.

We have an expanding library of books and DVDs to lend out, and a sales table where supplies can be purchased at excellent prices.  We also have an embellisher machine and a pleater which members can borrow.

Visitors will be warmly welcomed.

Our fees are:
Annual membership £20.00
Day Schools £15.00, unless otherwise advised
A charge of £2.50 for guests is made at the meetings for hall hire and refreshments.
